Common questions
Product & features
What makes Momentum Screener different from other stock screeners?
Momentum Screener focuses on persistent, long-term performance. Our models look for sustained moves—not single-session spikes—so you can invest with confidence instead of chasing noise. The interface is built around watchlists, relative strength rankings, and stability views you can read at a glance.
Can I use Momentum Screener on mobile devices?
Yes. The entire experience is responsive, including filtering, charts, and account management. Your favorites lists and screener settings sync automatically between devices.
What assets do you cover?
We process all U.S.-listed stocks, ETFs, bonds, and mutual funds. International markets, futures, options, and cryptocurrency are not currently supported—though dedicated pages for dividends, mutual funds, and crypto are coming soon. See Data updates & coverage for refresh schedules and quality details.
How do favorites lists work?
Favorites lists let you organize stocks into custom collections. Create as many lists as you like, assign each a name, icon, and color, and toggle stocks in or out with a single tap. Badges appear on matching stocks throughout the interface so you can spot your tracked positions at a glance. Learn more in the Favorites lists guide.
Data & methodology
How often is the data updated?
Rankings refresh every evening after the U.S. market close (typically between 6:30–7:00 PM ET). Corporate actions like splits and delistings are reconciled overnight so momentum windows stay accurate. See Data updates & coverage for the full refresh schedule.
Why don't you show absolute rank numbers?
With roughly 50,000 securities in the database, absolute ranks can be misleading—"#847" sounds bad until you realize it's in the top 2%. We show relative position within your filtered list instead, so you always know exactly where a stock stands compared to others you're evaluating. The Stock cards guide explains how to read list positions.
What do the qualifier badges mean?
Qualifier badges (like "12M," "6M," "Weighted Avg") indicate which momentum categories a stock ranks in based on your current count setting. A stock with multiple trend badges is showing strength across several timeframes. Stability badges highlight stocks trending smoothly with low volatility. See Screener filters for how to configure which categories appear.

Do you offer a free trial?
Yes—every plan starts with a 60-day free trial. A credit card is required to begin the trial, but you can cancel anytime from the Account page before it ends to avoid being charged. See Account & billing for details on trials and renewals.
Can I cancel or change my plan later?
Absolutely. Upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations all happen self-serve inside Account. Changes prorate immediately—calculated to the minute—and the final amount appears on your emailed invoice.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your favorites lists and settings are preserved. If you resubscribe later, everything will still be there.
Security & account
How do I sign in?
You can sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, a passkey stored on your device, or a third-party social account (Google and Microsoft are currently supported). Passkeys are the fastest and most secure option—once set up, you authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device PIN. See Authentication for setup instructions.
Can I share my account?
Momentum Screener licenses are single-user. If you need multiple seats for a team, reach out via the contact form and we'll coordinate multi-seat pricing.
